It has been nine decades since Greek immigrant Theodore Spiro Liaros began selling hot dogs out of a shack near the Peace Bridge.
To celebrate those 90 years in business in Western New York, the company will hold a customer appreciation day, selling its regular hot dogs for just 90 cents.
The customer appreciation day will be held all day Wednesday at all Ted's locations, from open to close. There is no purchase limit – customers can buy as many 90-cent dogs as they want. Ted's regular hot dogs are usually priced at $2.95.
There are nine Ted's locations in Buffalo and one in Tempe, Ariz. The company plans to open another restaurant in Chandler, Ariz., later this year.
