Instagram golf star: My boobs are too much for LPGA

Paige Spiranac was deemed too sexy for the LPGA Tour when they brought in strict new dress code rules last week.

Spiranac, Instagram-famous for her tantalizing photos, does not have a spot on the LPGA Tour, but she recently spoke out about their decision to bring in new guidelines, which include no leggings unless under a skirt or shorts and no jogging bottoms.

She wrote in Fortune: “Take the vague banning of ‘plunging necklines.’

“What constitutes a plunging neckline? Most likely, this edict was put into place to eliminate the presence of cleavage.

“In that case, a curvier, fuller-figured woman would be chided and fined far more often than a woman with a smaller bust.

“In a world where women are continually and unwantedly sexualized, this new rule serves as yet another reason for women to feel ashamed of their bodies.

“I may not go down in history as the best female golfer to ever play, however my intent is to do whatever I can to grow the game.”

Spiranac hasn’t been alone in speaking out against the dress code. The response from players was swift, including major winner Lexi Thompson taking to Instagram in protest.

Thompson didn’t use so many words to express what she felt about the changes — but instead posted a photo of herself in an outfit that looked like it was from the 1800s.
