Piers Morgan left fuming after insurers up his health insurance premium over cigar picture
PIERS Morgan ditched his health insurance company after he was penalised for smoking a cigar.
The Good Morning Britain star, 54, was outraged after the firm tried upping his yearly premium when he updated his Instagram profile pic.
Last night a source said: “He made it one of him merrily puffing on a fat cigar during a boozy lunch.
“The very next day his insurance firm contacted him to say they were upping his cover because they had evidence he was now a smoker.
“Piers was fuming. He may not have a rippling torso, but he’s actually very fit and does loads of indoor cycling. He quickly told them where to go.”
Piers told the Sun on Sunday: “I’ve never smoked cigarettes and only have four to five cigars a year.

“But they still wanted to slap a massive hike on my premiums for being a ‘smoker’, so I sought cover elsewhere.”
It is not the first time the presenter has got in trouble over his cigars.
Last year he was accused of hypocrisy after condemning a cigs boss on the ITV1 breakfast show, with some citing his cigar-smoking social media posts.
